Lehrform

The course will have a seminar style with some introductory lectures. After the introduction of some important concepts and basics, will work an assignments and tasks from different stages of the research process. By doing so they will produce a portfolio on a research topic, which will be subject to grading.

The course aims to give the participants a sound understanding of scientific work processes and important tools. It's aim is to go beyond the re-iteration of formal obligations in scholarly writing and to foster a deeper understanding of the working of the scientific discourse. At the same time, it tries to convey the knowledge of important tools and techniques for efficient project- and self-management in the process of research and writing. Finally, a glimps on the possibilities for funding acquisition by grant writing is provided.
