Lehrinhalte/Gliederung

Students will get to know various technologies for the development of virtual intelligent environments based on graphics-oriented software tools, specification and programming languages. The lectures provide students with the basic conceptual knowledge and the practicals in the computer lab conduce to the development of skills in using the technologies. Main topics include:

  • graphical modelling of three-dimensional spatial states,
  • graphical animation of one-dimensional temporal processes,
  • graphical reproduction of regular relationships,
  • involvement of multimedia contents,
  • control of interactive interdependencies,
  • programming of intelligent behaviours,
  • generation of local and networked presentations,
  • integration of various software components.

The course combines elements of the computer science subareas computer graphics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence from a practical and application perspective.

Qualifikationsziele

At the end of the course, students master the covered computer-based technologies and tools. They are able to transfer real or artificial scenarios of different application areas into simple virtual intelligent environments and to utilize them for visualisation and presentation, partly also for analysis and simulation purposes.
