rected Study: The basic principles will be presented during lectures. Lecture material (handouts) will be available on the faculty homepage. Students will present the results of their self study examples.

Self Study: Students are expected to supplement and support the lecture material with their own reading. Additional exercises as homework are given. An e-learning module has to be created during the self-study phase with Adobe Captivate.

  • DMAVD (Define, Measure, Analyse, Design, Verify) process to improve processes
  • Lean toolbox (value stream mapping, pull system, poka yoke)
  • Analyse toolbox (FMEA, Ishikawa-Diagram, process modelling)
  • Fundamentals of project management (managing a project, project strategy management, project quality-time-cost-management)
