In "Topics of Electrical Engineering" the different fields of research and development in Electrical Engineering, especially at HTW Dresden, shall be introduced to the students by means of a lecture series. There will be presentations regarding various topics such as
- measurement technology
- high power engineering
- automation technology
- electrical drives
- electromagnetic compatibility
- information technology
- electronics & digital systems
- electromobility
- etc.
The students are familiar with different fields of electrical engineering. The main goal is to create a strong motivation for continuously studying electrical engineering. Additionally, the studends shall gain a broad overview about "their" field of study. They learn about the research activities at the unversity. They are able to reflect their own learning progress and to work on material for a portfpolio.
- ability for self reflection
- ability for understanding and using scientific language (German/English) in (interdisciplinary) discussions
